loving lonny

Hooray, the June/July Lonny is out! To those who are new to its wonders, Lonny is a fabulous online shelter mag, and it is chock full of gorgeous images of drool-worthy interiors and cool resources you can use to achieve the home design nirvana you see in its pages. While it is so satisfying to hold a real magazine in your hands and turn the pages slowly and hold it up to your nose to study the images, I do love Lonny for its functionality. Hover over an image you like and you can click through to learn more and buy it. And as great as paper is, that is just not something you can achieve there.

To me, Lonny just keeps getting better and better, and I found myself clicking through to a lot more resources in this issue. If you haven't checked out the magazine, please do yourself a favor and go there now! Here are some (okay, quite a few) highlights. Bear with me; I couldn't resist sharing a lot of what I loved:

Bunny Williams Sea Island, Georgia home: beachy, fun glamourousness

Love how the neutrals soothe and the patterns excite.

Awesome oversized art grounded with upholstered bench: simple, strong vignette.

Casual, tropical feel

How do to blue: Subtle layers of pattern, lots of neutral to balance.

Love how the pillows mimic the graphic wall treatment. And orange headboards=smile.

Again, how to do blue (turquoise) and beachy. Clean, modern, fresh, natural.

Chic baby

Zebra on walls and ceiling? Yes, please.

Black painted bathroom=no fear. It looks amazing.

Mirrored backsplash in tiny kitchen=Genius

Stunning vignette blends old and new, high and low.

Playing with pattern and color—so lovely.

Almost speechless about this kitchen. Dying.

Fabulous green and pops of pink. And check it out: another amazing ceiling!

As you get reading, you'll notice some patterns repeating.
Here are some top trends spotted in Lonny, and still hot:

1. Wallpaper ~ on walls and ceilings
2. Upholstered headboards
3. Black ~ for walls, furniture, accents
4. Sisal, rope, grasscloth, natural materials

And not really trends, but style directions I think are here to stay:
1. High + low ~ mixing luxury and budget finds
2. Modern + vintage ~ combining new and old feels unique & gives a room personality

So what do you all think? Have you read the new Lonny yet?

I have only had a tiny peek, but love what I see. Wishing for an ipad so that I can get cozy on the couch and really spend time taking it all in.
