thanks & a design board

Thanks for all your help yesterday with the chair dilemma, everyone. It is a great leather chair, but I know I can live without it. I'll be presenting some other options that are not as crazy expensive. All in fabric. But, just so you can see how awesome this room would be with the chair in it, here's the design board as it stands today. This room is big and needs a lot of seating. Two seating areas, in fact. Can you tell?

Also, could you tell, if it wasn't fall now, that I designed this room in autumn? The golds, pumpkins, pewters, espressos, and caramels totally have a seasonal feel. I'm sure I'd be doing different colors if it were summer, but the clients love neutrals and this is what I'm drawn to now. Let's hope they are too.

Lots of seating so that must be a big room - I love both of the couches you've chosen. And the wall sconce is so pretty! I really like what you've put together and I can't wait to see your chair alternative and the fabrics. Nice job Casey.

one last chair look for less - can be ordered in fabric or leather!

OMG. What an incredible mood board. I love the colors, the furnishings, the fabrics...everything. I agree, the Dylan chair would be amazing, but the room could stand on its own without it. I hope we'll get to see the room when it is finished!

Yes, I can see why you love the leather chair because it is perfect in the mix. Gosh, maybe you could find a leather bench/coffee table in that color instead?

Gorgeous mood board. Like everything you do, I'd love to have this in my own house. The yellows could easily read spring/summer, don't you think?

What a comfortable looking room this will be.

If it makes you (and your client) feel any better you can share this story with her: I fell in love with a leather chair that was $1,800 and my husband surprised me by buying it for me as a Christmas gift. Within weeks our puppy chewed on it in a very visible area. Never again will I spend that much money on a single piece of furniture!

Loving this color palette! That buttery yellow needs to find a place at my house.
