the longest chair redo ever

Yup, I think it's been well over a year now since I picked up a really ugly needlepoint chair (with potential!) for under $20. And finally, after a fabric hunt, and after I searched high and low for the trim I had in mind, and after just an hour and a half the other dayglue gunning that trim on (and a few burnt fingertips), the chair is done at long last.

Here's a little look at its progress over the past year and a half!

The awful before. Let's not even talk about what that stain on the seat could be. And removing those nailheads was torture.

Stripped down, painted, and ready for upholstery!

Pretty new fabric is on. Now the trim I want is sold out. Keep looking.

A closeup look at the trim. I did two rows of this narrow trim to mimic a double welt.

A last look. Yay! It feels so good to finish a long-overdue project like this and get it off my plate. Have you finished a little project lately you've been putting off forever? Well, maybe this weekend's the time to do it, and finally shorten that to-do list! I promise it won't be as painful as you think, and the peace of mind when you're done is well worth it!

The fabric you chose is so, so cool Casey! You make this seem like a fairly easy project. Ha, and just what I need. A kick in the butt to get my projects finished. I always like it when you say, "Go do this or that this weekend."

Hope you get the wine fridge you like!
