exposed

If you've been following this blog for a while, or even just for a little bit, you know I am a huge fan of open shelving the kitchen, of floating ledges, and general open storage everywhere. When I saw this photo it really wowed me, because it reminded me how much I love open storage and vanities in the bath too.

The look brings such modernness, and casualness, and offers places to decorate, with towels, baskets, and accessories. I'm all over it.

Loving the blue bath

Love it, but you'd have to be pretty tidy or have alternate storage for the messy clips and brushes.
On image 2 the trap is slightly crooked and that would be driving me crazy...:)

Oh, I love this look. Buuuuut.... my dogs also seem to love it. We do have one open area of shelves, and they get into anything that we put in the bottom shelf. Basket? Pulled out and chewed on. Towels? Chewed on and snuggled with. Bath pillow? New dog toy.

So, until I no longer have such energetic dogs, I'll be having doors on my lower cabinets :-(

We have an open bottom shelf in our master bath vanity and I LOVE it. I just stack my towels neatly down there. The best part is that there are still 2 cabinets and 2 drawers so plenty of storage space - at least for us. Scroll down to the master bath pictures in this link -

Melissa, thanks so much for sharing. I love *everything* about your bath! The vanity is a perfect combination of closed/open storage. And your tilework kills me ;-)
