mini-project: adding trim to a lampshade

I'm still on the hunt for trim to complete my long-overdue chair recover project. This braided jute was an option but when it finally arrived I saw that it was too chunky, rustic, large and loose for my chair.

So, one project's trash is another's treasure. It was just the right length and style for my office lampshade. I love the extra level of interest and texture it adds.

Have you ever trimmed out a lampshade? It's super easy and fun. I'm sure you have some ribbon or cord or some similar project extra lying around just waiting to glued somewhere!

Love decorating a plain lampshade! Just wanted to say that when I try to go to your profile....it says it does not exist??? I have a hard time getting to your blog...I have to google it for some reason.

Looks great. It's the small touches that finish the look of a room.
