it looks good naked

Yesterday, I must have been feeling a little romantic in the hours before Valentine's Day, because I bought myself a treat. This pretty orchid is making me happy right now.

Oh, and did I mention it's sitting atop my finally-painted console? I'm still trying out paint colors for the wall—that's why the background looks a little mottled. But I love the way this piece turned out. I haven't even put the doors or knobs back on. It think it really looks good naked.

Happy Valentine's Day to you all, and whether you're single or coupled up, remember to say I love you to all the special people in your life today!

I love orchids. I just saw the best tip about caring for them too-just add three ice cubes a week to the soil and let them melt. Apparently, that's all the water they need.

It looks great in that color. I am looking for a piece for our tv to go on. It hard to find the size I need since I have limited space. But I love the pop of color. And the orchid!

Love it...but am I missing something...why are your books in backward? Is this the new trend?
Just wondering and want to be in the know! LOL!!!!! Beautiful color!
I am thinking now I am going to have one of the chocolate covered strawberries that were delivered today from my sweet hubby and then go see if I can find myself an orchid!!! Lovin it!

Oh yes, Joanne, it's totally a new trend! Or if it isn't I'm starting one. I remember in high school when all of a sudden it was cool to wear your watch on your ankle. It's kinda like that ;-)
