angled light

I don't know about you, but I cannot get enough of bent arm lamps! And I think it's one (long-lasting) trend to follow. Mounted on a wall or a bookcase, you might once have seen them in libraries to light the spines. On a desk or work table, they are task lighting. Now any angled-arm lamp need not be limited to traditional uses. While I still love them on a bookcase or on a desk, I just love seeing them anywhere, and the more unexpected the use, the better.

Sorry so many images! I went a little crazy and could not stop saving pictures! What do you think of this look? I really want to incorporate some angled lighting into a design soon.

Just moved one from the night stand to the living room so Jack could do his math. Definitely going to look for another one to put near that table. Thanks.

Awesome! Glad this worked for you. I want to replace my sconces on either side of my bed with more dramatic swing arm lamps like these.

I think angled lamps are so cool - and can have such personality. Sometimes, when they are bent in just the right direction, they almost seem alive and animated. Great post!

I'd love a couple to replace bedside lamps. They seem to me to be both attractive and functional.

I got a chuckle out of a few of those images -- they look like aliens creeping around. I find it to be fun "art."
