tuesday tip: put a cork in it

A little decorating inspiration for you today, and it doesn't cost a penny. If you drink a lot of wine (as I do—but clearly I still need to keep opening those bottles and adding to my collection below!) you have lots of corks you might throw away. But I think they can be beautiful. For me, my favorite display is as simple as a glass hurricane full of them.

It doesn't get any easier than that. You can do so much with found objects—I love the idea of styling with the things you already have on hand. If you love wine, you might already display the bottles, but the corks can just as easily become part of the decor.

And if you're feeling more adventurous, here are some of the cooler creative projects I've seen:

I've been saving my corks for years. Someday I'll get around to making a cork wreath. These are great ideas.

great ideas. considering the amount of wine my husband and i consume, it would have been smart to keep the corks. bummer, we didn't. we'll start now :)

I have a friend who collects these in a big glass jar in her kitchen and it looks great. Also love the placecard idea!
